Description

SWEET & FRUITY

We felt like a holiday coffee was in order - one that embodied the Christmas spirit and flavours traditional to the winter solstice, so we selected a coffee that delivered the complexity of fruit and sweet spices and roasted it to further enhance the sweetness present in this coffee. The taste of winter in a cup - that's the "Holiday Jam".

This coffee is produced by smallholder farmers in the La Esperanza community of Los Santos de Tarrazú region. It is a community lot that reflects the unique conditions of Tarrazú as well as the collective efforts of the farmers who grow coffee there. Coffee is a family affair in Tarrazú, with everyone working to help pick and sort coffee during the harvest season and maintain the land during the year. Washed processing begins when the coffee is de-pulped the same day it is picked. Coffee is fully washed with a de-mucilage machine for efficient use of water and dried in "guardiola" mechanical dryers to maintain uniformity.

Roast info

This coffee is roasted for espresso, meaning that it will present with higher intensity, rich texture and sweetness, lower acidity and more distinct caramelization flavours. Espresso roasts have higher solubility, meaning that you will be able to access the coffee flavours with more ease. Even though it is more suited for espresso machines and mokka pots, you can definitely enjoy it in any other method as well if you're looking for a richer cup. Espresso roasts are at their best starting from 2 weeks from the roast date, so take your time with it.

Use and storage

We recommend you enjoy this coffee within 3 months of the roasting date.
Store in a dry and cool place, between +16 and +25 degrees.
