This coffee comes from a very small, 2.1 hectare family owned farm that is located in the Fagundes Community, in Santo Antônio do Amparo. They are members of the Fagundes Community Association, which was founded with the purpose of strengthening the community's growers, as well as the local coffee-growing. With many projects and a lot of work to be done, the group is taking another step towards sustainability through the certification of producing families in the state government certification program "Certifica Minas".

We felt so privileged to visit and cooperate with this small father-and-son operation, where the coffee trees are well tended and luscious, and you can see immediately that the coffee here is happy. You can definitely taste it as well, as these microlots truly display the quality that embodies this operation.

Roast info

This coffee is roasted for filter - meaning, a light roast. We roast our seasonal coffees in this manner because we wish for the coffee to shine as it is - for it to display the characteristics that have produced its excellent quality. This kind of roast allows the natural flavours, acids and sugars of the coffee to be in the front, and lets you learn about its origin through taste. As the name says, it's best used in filter coffee methods, such as drip or immersion, so while making an espresso from these is possible, it could prove tricky.

Use and storage

We recommend you enjoy this coffee within 3 months of the roasting date.
Store in a dry and cool place, between +16 and +25 degrees.
