We're very happy to bring in a new, fresh and exciting Pink Bourbon variety from Colombia, Huila - produced by the Divino Niño cooperative in Suaza. We sourced this coffee in cooperation with Osito Coffee and it's an exciting one, bringing traditional Colombian coffee flavours in an enhanced and elevated form.

Osito Coffee has been working with the Divino Niño cooperative since its beginning, and over these 3 years, the coop has grown from 25 to 50 farmer members. Edilma Polania Bermeo is the president of the group, and, along with Adrian Bocanegra and the treasurer Mario Salazar, they keep the group organized in a way that facilitates meaningful growth.

Since the collaboration of Osito and Divino Niño, an annual cup competition has been taking place, and through this competition, many amazing micro-lots and high-potential coffees have been developed. This washed Pink Bourbon, an exciting naturally occurring hybrid variety processed in meticulous, but traditional means, is an example of that, delivering outstanding cup quality with exciting and clean flavors.

Roast info

This coffee is roasted for filter - meaning, a light roast. We roast our seasonal coffees in this manner because we wish for the coffee to shine as it is - for it to display the characteristics that have produced its excellent quality. This kind of roast allows the natural flavours, acids and sugars of the coffee to be in the front, and lets you learn about its origin through taste. As the name says, it's best used in filter coffee methods, such as drip or immersion, so while making an espresso from these is possible, it could prove tricky.

Use and storage

We recommend you enjoy this coffee within 3 months of the roasting date.
Store in a dry and cool place, between +16 and +25 degrees.
