Mr. Pablo Guerrero was the first to introduce coffee to the Tangua area, which used to be a wheat and bean production area. It was risky, because he was unsure how productive coffee would be at such a high elevation, but the risk was rewarding as the coffee production flourished.

El Obraje is equipped with an extremely tidy wet mill on the property. Gesha lots are harvested between February and May, since the cherries ripen slowly. Each day after harvest, cherries are fermented for 16 hours in tile tanks, later depulped, fully washed, and then dried on the raised beds of the solar dryer for an average of 16 days.

The Gesha variety is well known for it's high sweetness, delicate acidity and amazing complexity of flavours. This particular Gesha is complemented by the high altitude, controlled ripening and the meticulous processing done in El Obraje, which makes it an amazing coffee experience that we encourage you to be a part of.
