The Story

KALVE Baznīcas is our second coffee shop, opened in April 2021 on Baznīcas iela, a street named for the two churches standing on either side of it, an idea echoed in the café's interior design. A wooden bench by the front door has won a special place in locals' hearts, kept out through every season, rain or snow. Come summer, the café spreads outward onto a wide terrace, drawing locals and visitors alike for their morning or afternoon coffee. It's a spot shaped as much by its street and its neighbours as by the coffee served inside, a quiet fixture in Riga's Centrs district that keeps drawing people back.
