This guide includes the exact Aeropress recipe we use in our coffee shops for a clean, balanced hot coffee.
What is Aeropress and why is it so popular?
Invented in 2005 by American engineer and toy designer Alan Adler, the Aeropress was born out of a quest to brew a perfect cup of coffee quickly and without bitterness. What started as a quirky-looking gadget soon sparked a global cult following. Why? Because it delivers barista-level coffee with just hot water, freshly ground beans, and a little pressure. Its growing fame led to the launch of the World Aeropress Championship—a wildly creative, high-energy competition that celebrates experimentation and technique. Whether you’re into bold espresso-like shots or smooth filter-style cups, the Aeropress gives you complete control, and that’s exactly what makes it addictive.
