Toffee - H.Heinrihsone

€14,20

"The movement of peoples, mass migration, an eruption of uncontrolled relationships. People, primates, animals moving in place, forward and backward. Among the figures there are large-scale portraits – faces, heads. This compositional principle allows for the revelation of mood, the illumination of individual stories." – Helēna Heinrihsone

Helēna Heinrihsone is one of the most noteworthy Latvian artists. The theme of interpersonal human relationships has always dominated in her works, she also explores the inner world of women and depicts the psychological aspects of social processes. In the "Wanderers" series, Heinrihsone continues to bring attention to the inner conflict between human emotions and the mind. The figurative compositions reveal the importance of physical contact in forming relationships. The silhouettes and portraits remind us of existential themes that have long been important to the artist.

FULL & CREAMY

Full-bodied and silky texture with caramel and walnut flavour notes and a dried fruit finish.

This is our most recent espresso blend, tailored to fit the preference of those coffee lovers, who prefer an intense cup with next-to-no acidity. By maintaining a stable roast curve and blending highly soluble coffees from Brazil and Colombia, we achieve a profile that is reminiscent of Toffee - sweet, buttery and intense. Besides that, we feel like this cup profile, which is loved by so many, can also be an ode to people who have helped shape events in the world, which is why this coffee will always represent something or someone of importance to us.

Roast info

This coffee is roasted for espresso, meaning that it will present with higher intensity, rich texture and sweetness, lower acidity and more distinct caramelization flavours. Espresso roasts have higher solubility, meaning that you will be able to access the coffee flavours with more ease. Even though it is more suited for espresso machines and mokka pots, you can definitely enjoy it in any other method as well if you're looking for a richer cup. Espresso roasts are at their best starting from 2 weeks from the roast date, so take your time with it.

Use and storage

Brew it at a ratio of 1:2.5. For example, use 18 grams of coffee and brew 46 grams of espresso, to dilute some of the intensity and increase silkiness.

We recommend you enjoy this coffee within 3 months of the roasting date.

Store in a dry and cool place, between +16 and +25 degrees.
