Our inspiration for KALVE is the purpose for altering the coffee industry and through that improving the life quality of others while also investing in future generations. We work tirelessly to make sure every step we take is in sync with our mission and values – quality approach, sustainability, accessibility, braveness, honesty and open-mindedness.
As a company, we acknowledge our environmental, social & governance footprint and take responsibility along with proactive steps towards minimising the impact of our business activities. In our journey towards becoming more responsible, we have defined an ambitious target of achieving CO2 neutrality by the year 2028 with further working towards carbon insetting.
We have undertaken various activities of self-reflection and with that fulfilling our initial sustainability objectives. Such as making sure that 100% of all our product packaging is either reusable or recyclable. Last year within our B2B sales we avoided the use of 500 kg of plastic - comparable to approximately 7 tons of CO2 emissions, absorption of which would require ~5 hectares of forest.
We dedicated time to establishing internal structure and guidelines that ensure a smooth and transparent further growth of the company.
Lead by the understanding that our responsibility spans beyond our direct business activities, we have been connecting with various industry players and exploring the options of what can be done with the by-product of our coffee, with that also kicking off our goal of closing the loop.
Through honest and serious introspection, we have set the direction of our path and actively aim to create a positive impact by leading the change within the coffee industry. We are doing our best so we can still bring you the joy of quality coffee that also supports the bigger-scale intentions.
