From June 14, 2024, to September 1, 2024, the Museum Repository at Pulka Street 8 will host a retrospective exhibition of the fashion brand FYODOR GOLAN, showcasing the brand's rich achievements from 2009 to 2022. Through the personal perspective and experience of Fjodors Podgornijs, the exhibition affirms Latvia's presence in the global contemporary design and fashion processes. Featuring more than 120 outfits and accessories, the project focuses on the transformations of the brand's aesthetics and highlights its evolution from creating luxury evening wear to integrating sustainable technologies in innovative clothing design.

We are honored to collaborate with Fjodors Podgornijs in creating a new design for the Marmelade coffee tin. It was essential for both Fjodors and KALVE to find a coffee flavour profile that complements the exhibition colourful and expressive. This is precisely what Marmelade espresso blend represents.

We created this blend for the Roast Masters 2019 competition in Milano, where the task was to create an espresso blend that celebrates the specialty coffee industry and introduces a new idea. We did exactly that, and this blend was one of the reasons why we came back with a silver medal. The idea – use higher scoring coffees to achieve intense and complex flavors but roast in a method that retains a taste balance and texture that is friendly for all coffee lovers. The result – truly sweet, complex, competition-quality coffee that is a hit for every occasion.

Roast info

This coffee is roasted for espresso, meaning that it will present with higher intensity, rich texture and sweetness, lower acidity and more distinct caramelization flavours. Espresso roasts have higher solubility, meaning that you will be able to access the coffee flavours with more ease. Even though it is more suited for espresso machines and mokka pots, you can definitely enjoy it in any other method as well if you're looking for a richer cup. Espresso roasts are at their best starting from 2 weeks from the roast date, so take your time with it.

Use and storage

We recommend you enjoy this coffee within 3 months of the roasting date.
Store in a dry and cool place, between +16 and +25 degrees.
